Terpenes are natural aromatic molecules found in cannabis. The different types of Terpenes found in specific cannabis strains largely influence their unique fragrance and medicinal qualities. As in cannabis, the effects of Terpenes are heightened when they are mixed with CBD through a process named the ‘Entourage Effect’. This happens when terpenes interact synergistically with CBD which increases its beneficial properties. The are a large variety of terpenes which each boast their own unique medicinal qualities. For example, Limonene has antidepressant qualities, Linalool has anti-anxiety properties, Mycrene has mild sedative properties.
